Comments 26/07/2021 by Damien Halpin Dear Family, I was so sorry to hear of your Dad's death. I was away in Kerry and didn't hear about it until yesterday evening. Your dad was a very special person, a gentleman in every respect, and i had the privilege of getting to know him when i joined Rentokil many years ago. His kindness and cheerful personality and fantastic sense of humour made him very popular to all those he came into contact with. Paddy was so obliging and nothing was any bother to him. If he could do you a good turn it was such a pleasure for him to do it. Maria and i loved Paddy and i know he was very fond of us too. I'm sure you are all very proud to have had such a wonderful person and Dad in your lives and i know he will live on in your cherished memories of him. The illness he suffered from to a large extent robbed him from a fuller life but i will always remember the smile, the laugh and the happiness i always felt in his company. A great sadness for me was not to be present at his funeral. I have been acting as Sacristan in Blackrock Church for funerals since Gerry Merry retired and it would have been such a privilege for me to have been able to serve at the funeral Mass. Maria and i offer you our sincere condolences for your great loss .May Paddy's gentle soul rest in peace. Damien Halpin
