GILMARTIN (Dun Laoghaire, Co. Dublin and formerly of Rinbane, Co. Sligo) – September 8th 2020 at St. Michael’s Hospital, Dun Laoghaire after a long illness bravely fought. Michael Patrick (Mick) (retired An Garda Síochána, Dun Laoghaire, Station); dearly beloved husband of Elizabeth (Betty), much loved and adored father to Elizabeth, Robert and the late Gerald and Gordon. Sadly missed by his loving wife, daughter, son, daughter-in-law Maura, Elizabeth’s partner Tom, grandchildren David and Maria, great-granddaughters Maggie and Evie, his sister Mary, brother Frank, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. 


May he rest in peace. 


Reposing at his home on Thursday evening (September 10th) from 5pm to 8pm (car parking facilities available in the Presbyterian Church car park on York Road, beside the house). Removal on Friday morning to St. Patrick’s Church, Monkstown arriving at 10.50am. Funeral immediately after 11am Requiem Mass to Shanganagh Cemetery, Shankill. Family flowers only please. Donations if desired to the Irish Heart Foundation. (The Gilmartin family invite those of you who feel comfortable to attend the family home, to share a memory and pay your respects to Mick and the family to please wear face coverings and sanitise your hands). 


In accordance with Government guidelines on public gatherings, Mick’s Requiem Mass will be strictly limited to 50 persons.
